to begin listing right away, there are just a few things you need to do.
once you have signed up for an account and have logged in, you need to click on the "manage auctions" link on the home page in order to go directly to your individual homescoop page.
setting your preferences: help main
on your homescoop page, you will see tabs at the very top. click on preferences.
once on this page, you simply fill in your information, and check your preferences. for example, if you only ship to usa addresses, once you check this, you will never have to check it again unless you want to change it.
also on this page is a "my auction terms" box. this is where you can add your paypal logo (if you accept paypal), and you may also put your personal fine print.

description title font color and size: help main
you may choose the font color and font size for the description title. choose the font color by selecting the desired color from the drop down menu. select the font size by clicking either regular (standard ebay font size) or 1 (a little bigger) or 2 (even bigger).
this is where you describe the item you are selling. you do not need to add shipping or payment terms to this. only type in the actual item description. for example:
up for auction is a black vintage telephone that i found at an estate sale. this phone is in excellent working condition. it measures 6 inches tall, and 9 inches wide. there are a few areas where the paint has chipped off. thanks for viewing my auction.

saving your listing: help main
after you have finished your listing, click on the save button in the top left hand corner. this does not submit your auction to ebay, it saves your auction in your saved auctions folder.
note, this is only for ad creation. you will need to copy and paste the html into the ebay listing form.

submitting your auction to ebay: help main
in order to actually submit an auction to ebay, you need to be on the view saved auctions page. once there, you may directly click on an auction to preview it, and then click the "submit to ebay" button on the preview page. or you may use the "quicksubmit" function directly on your view saved auctions page. if you use the quicksubmit feature, you do get a chance to preview the auction in the normal ebay listing fashion.
no matter which method you choose to submit your auction to ebay, once you click on either "submit to ebay" or "quicksubmit," a window will pop up for you to use for submitting your auction. once you have previewed and submitted the auction, you may close the window.
delete: help main
if you know that you are finished with a listing and wish to delete it from your folders, click on the delete feature on the line next to the specific auction listing. this removes the auction listing from your folders.
copy: help main
this feature comes in handy when you have several similar or exact same items that you wish to list. by clicking on copy next to an auction listing, you are simply reproducing the exact same auction. you may still edit the auction and change it if you need to. an example for this use would be:
you have 10 coffe cups that you wish to list individually on ebay. you have already created an auction for one of them. to start on your second beanie baby listing, you may hit copy and copy the first auction. the second beanie baby may be a little different, so you may wish to change the description and title, but basically, your listing is pretty much already done for you. again, you will need to hit submit at the top left hand side of the listing in order to save this copy.
edit: help main
you may edit any auction listing by either:
*directly clicking on the edit feature next to the auction listing on the view saved auctions page
or
*directly clicking on the actual auction listing and then clicking on edit at the top left hand corner of that page.
once you have clicked edit, the listing comes back up. make whatever changes you decide and then make sure you click on the update button at the top left hand side of the page.
